Wa Chyzha (The Voice of the Mountain), came to be primarily as a text, which was written in the Muisca language of Bogotá (Mysk Kubun) after Vic (singer) spent some years in an ongoing process of learning this language native to his region of origin. Mysk Kubun is an indigenous language thought to be extinct according to linguists, but one which is undergoing an enormous process of revitalization and cultural reconstruction in that part of Colombia. The text took form musically with the whole band from early home demos to the final studio version. The track also reflects the process in which people must dig deep to find who they are. The language that was once spoken by the inhabitants of those mountains, returns to the descendants of those who still inhabit those mountains. Bringing the true voice of that mountain to the present, once again.
